This privacy notice explains how Anytime Taxi ("we", "us") collects, uses, and protects the personal data of drivers who use our dispatch app. It applies whether you are an approved driver, an onboarding applicant, or a former driver whose records we retain for licensing/safety reasons.
Anytime Taxi is a private-hire taxi dispatch operator based in Stroud, Gloucestershire. We are the data controller for the personal data we hold about you as a driver.

| Dispatch + job assignment + completion | Contract (Art. 6(1)(b)) — your driver agreement |

| Live GPS tracking while on an active job | Legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f)) — delivering the service the customer booked + your safety |

| Bidding portal (fareshare scoring) | Legitimate interest — fair allocation of work |
| Availability matrix + leave management | Legitimate interest |

| Push notifications (job offers, bid outcomes) | Consent (Art. 6(1)(a)) — opt-in, revocable |
| HMRC financial/payout records (6 years) | Legal obligation (Art. 6(1)(c)) |
| Onboarding application data | Contract (pre-contractual steps at your request) + Legal obligation (licensing) |

When you are assigned a job, the customer sees your first name + your vehicle details (registration, make, model, colour) so they can identify you at pickup. Your phone number is not shared with the customer — all communication goes via us or via the in-app status updates. While you are en route to their pickup, the customer also sees your live GPS position on their app map.
If the bidding portal is enabled, your 30-day rolling metrics (jobs count, total fare, total miles) are used to compute your fareshare score. Other drivers do not see your metrics directly, but the fareshare winner selection implicitly ranks you against them.
Your phone number + the message text are passed to our Traccar SMS gateway for driver-facing SMS (assignments, reminders, password-reset, onboarding invites, leave-status updates). We log the delivery status of each send.
ClickSend is used for customer-facing SMS only. Your phone number is not passed to ClickSend for driver-facing messages.
When a customer pays by card, the payout share is computed and recorded in your driver_payout_ledger. Stripe holds the card details; we hold only the payout amount + the linked charge ID.
The driver onboarding form uses Cloudflare Turnstile for bot protection. A one-time token + your IP address is sent to Cloudflare for verification.
If you opt in to push notifications, your browser generates a push subscription endpoint held by your browser vendor (e.g. Google for Chrome). We use this endpoint exclusively to send you job-offer and bid-outcome notifications.
We may be required to share driver records (licence number, vehicle details, job history) with your licensing authority on request or as a condition of operating under their licence. We will only share what is legally required.
Payout + financial records are retained for 6 years per HMRC requirements and may be disclosed to HMRC on lawful request.
We do not share your personal data with marketing companies, social media platforms, data brokers, or third-party advertisers. We do not sell your data.
Some sub-processors (Google, Cloudflare, Stripe) may process data outside the UK. Each has appropriate safeguards in place (Standard Contractual Clauses or UK IDTA). A full sub-processor register is available on request.

Under the UK GDPR, you have the same rights as a customer:
Contact us at:
We will respond within 30 days. We may need to verify your identity before processing your request.
If we experience a personal data breach that is likely to result in a risk to your rights and freedoms, we will notify the ICO within 72 hours and notify affected individuals without undue delay.
While you have an active job (En Route / At Pickup / POB), your live GPS position is polled approximately every 5 seconds and is shown to (a) the dispatch operator in the admin panel and (b) the customer in their app's live tracking map while you are en route to their pickup. Tracking is active only while you have an active job — it is not used to track you off-duty. A full DPIA for GPS tracking is available on request.
Inbound calls to the operator may be recorded for service quality, training, and dispute resolution. The lawful basis is legitimate interest. A full LIA (Legitimate Interests Assessment) + DPIA for call recording are available on request. You will hear a recorded message at the start of any recorded call informing you that the call may be recorded.
The driver app uses minimal local storage. See our Cookie Policy for the full inventory. We do not use advertising, analytics, or social-media pixels.
We may update this privacy notice from time to time. Significant changes will be notified by updating the "Last Updated" date + posting a notice. We will notify you by SMS or in-app message if a change materially affects your rights.
You have the right to lodge a complaint with the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) if you believe we have not handled your data correctly.
